PYCC, Outcome 5

Today was the first day of our kickoff retreat for our 2016-2017 PYCC year. I jumped back into my time with music team and worked on getting songs together for our youth rally. We are well on the way to being organized to perform in worship music at our meetings and conventions. Here at the outset, I am putting aside some of my own learning in order to help new people get adjusted. It’s interesting because I’ve had interactions with many of the new people both on music team and on PYCC in general. For example, two of our music team newcomers are a girl I’ve been best friends with all through high school and a girl that I’d grown up with at my church. However, even though I knew them in one way, getting to know them as compatriots is an entirely different experience. I’m already able to see how they work as a team, their preferences for music they don’t typically listen to, et cetera. I am truly loving getting to know new and old people on different levels.
