Footloose, Outcome 1
Upon my return from winter break (traditionally a time of rebooting and relaxing for me) I dove right into the first week of Footloose auditions. It was my second time preparing for a performance on the Miller Outdoor Theatre stage and my first time ever having a significant role with HITS. Having been at HITS for around 3 years, I had been getting to know many of my fellow HITS-goers in a very deep way that allowed me to understand myself through understanding them. It was nice to come back after a long rest and rehearse for one of the most fun shows I’d ever done. I was cast as a secondary villain in Footloose (Chuck Cranston, a “bad-boy” biker high school dropout) which could not be more at odds with the person I am. However, I was very excited to dive into it. I was also very excited to build my synergy with my fellow cast members. This show was the show where I got closest physically to my cast-mates.
