Today I received my acceptance letter from Colorado College, my first choice! Looking back on this long winding road of a college search, I’m so grateful for the chances I’ve had and the experiences I’ve undergone. I was able to demonstrate how to initiate and plan a fieldwork experience by making contact with many admission representatives and setting up tour and visit times. I was able to show commitment to and perseverance in a fieldwork experience by sticking with the application process even when it got hard and it felt like I couldn’t see the end. I was also able to demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process by acquiring networking skills, learning how to write a CV, and becoming better at verbal and electronic communication.

Today I'm reflecting on a spontaneous partner workout with a friend I've sort of been keeping up with at the gym. He'd been out of the gym for a couple of months and when he came back in it was great to see him. He'd fallen behind on some of his progress and he asked me if I wanted to work out with him. I did and we did a full body workout spotting each other and giving tips for us to be better. I demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively by understanding and showing that I am not my best on my own and that I can't do every workout alone.
